Two carefully chosen book each month—usually literary fiction, essays, criticism, or translated literature from independent and small-press publishers. We avoid bestseller-table titles you can find stacked at every airport. Expect books that reward attention: novels worth a slow weekend, essay collections worth keeping on the desk, translations that bring something genuinely new into your reading life.

We send books in English, Russian, and Estonian. You can choose the language when subscribing.

Yes, easily. You can skip any upcoming month from your account before that month's billing date. There's no penalty and no awkward email to send—just a button.

Yes. You can cancel from your account at any time before your next billing date, and you'll still receive any month you've already paid for. We won't make you talk to anyone or fill out a form to leave.

Subscriptions are billed at the start of each month, between roughly the 1st and 5th. Your first charge happens when you subscribe; after that, billing recurs monthly on the same rhythm. You'll always receive a clear notification before each charge.

Each month's book is packed and shipped between the 8th and 15th, after billing closes and we finalise the order. Within Estonia, your book usually arrives at your chosen parcel locker within two to four working days after dispatch.

Tell us before dispatch and we'll send a replacement title from our curated shelf instead—up to one swap per year per subscriber. We'd rather you receive a book you'll actually read than a duplicate sitting on the shelf.

Yes, and it's one of the best ways to give a book to someone who reads. We offer prepaid 3-month and 6-month gift subscriptions that don't auto-renew, arrive with a handwritten note if you'd like, and can be sent directly to the recipient's parcel locker. No awkward recurring charges, no surprise renewals.

We do—personally. Every month's selection is read or vetted by the owners before it goes out, accompanied by a short editorial note explaining why we chose it. There's no algorithm, no publisher sponsorship, and no obligation to include any title. If we wouldn't recommend a book to a friend, we won't send it to you.
